Solutions ======================================================= 01)Change the dir|file back to 755 The "Fair-Usage Policy" is seen at login for all users. 02)Leave it as is no: only a file|dir user can see there file|dirs on the server and web pages do NOT display. If a user wants a visible website then "Fair-Usage Policy" comes into play, and mounting perms are changed to support that. 03)From the BUShare side A. The export|share is crafted so when mounted on harveyV, root can do chmod|chown etc, on files and directories. After the CIFS mount is done in /etc/fstab What do the file_mode=0755,dir_mode=0755 need to be set to? B. The mount that comes from BSHARE looks like this (the username directory) drwx--x--x+ chouck The files and directories inside the user account (the username directory) look like this ... files -rwxr-xr-x+ directories drwxr-xr-x+ I believe 03|A is the best solution, 03|B will work.
