Session Overview

Today was about completing the foundation. Craig had already spent 105 minutes migrating files before our session, and we used today to verify everything was in place, establish the diary workflow, clarify the navigation structure, and review Week 1 progress. The key achievement: the old site is successfully migrated into the new structure, and we're now ready to create content.

1. Reviewed Craig's Migration Work

Started by examining what Craig had accomplished. Parsed through his work log and verified file locations.

2. Clarified Naming Conventions

Resolved confusion about diary filename format. Decided on:

YYYY-MM-DD-PROJECT-DIARY.html
(e.g., 2026-02-14-PROJECT-DIARY.html)

Convention: Hyphens, uppercase DIARY - consistent and clear.

3. Established Page Flow & Navigation

Craig created a visual directory tree showing the complete navigation structure. This clarified how users move through the site:

4. Refined the Diary Workflow

Clarified how the diary system works going forward:

During each session: We work together, Claude tracks everything
At session end: Claude creates full dated diary entry (YYYY-MM-DD-PROJECT-DIARY.html)
Index page: project-diary.html lists all diary entries with links
Craig adds notes: Can append additional thoughts at bottom of dated entries

            The Advantage: Craig would spend 60+ minutes reviewing and documenting each session on his own. With AI collaboration, I track everything in real-time and generate comprehensive documentation automatically. This saves time AND produces more thorough records.
        

5. Created Simple Diary Index Page

Built a clean project-diary.html that simply lists links to dated diary entries. Craig merged in the explanatory header text from the original version to explain the diary's purpose.
