Infrastructure Complete - Foundation Set
Day 6 was a shorter session focused on completing the last two infrastructure pages from the Week 1 plan: episodes.html and about.html. With these in place, the foundational structure established in PROJECT-STRUCTURE.html is essentially complete.
An interesting technical note: Craig discovered he had two Claude sessions open simultaneously and got episodes.html from the other session. This provided a good reminder about context management when working with AI across multiple windows.
Craig discovered he had two Claude sessions running and retrieved episodes.html from the other window. The page was already complete and well-structured.
Content includes:
Why this matters: Episodes provide a structured learning path through the site's content. Rather than overwhelming visitors with everything at once, they can follow a clear progression based on their needs - whether they want to understand AI concepts, use AI practically, or see it in action.
Built the about page documenting Craig, Claude, the collaboration model, and the site's mission.
Sections:
Identified need to add Episodes and About links to the main AI-NEW.html landing page. Proposed solution: quick navigation bar after the header and footer updates to link to Episodes, About, Learning Hub, and Building in Public.
Implementation: Craig will add these links during manual edits along with validation work.
The discovery that Craig had two Claude sessions open simultaneously provided an interesting lesson in context management. Rather than recreate work, we retrieved the already-complete episodes.html from the parallel session and moved forward.
Practical takeaway: When working with AI, keeping track of which window/session has which context matters. But also: if work gets done, it gets done - doesn't matter which session generated it.
With episodes.html and about.html complete, the core infrastructure from Week 1 goals is done:
This foundation supports future content expansion in Week 2 and beyond.
The original PROJECT-STRUCTURE.html outlined a 4-week implementation plan. After 6 days of work, Week 1's core goals are essentially complete - collaboration hub live, learning hub live, diary operational, infrastructure pages done.
This validates the efficiency multiplier documented throughout the project: work that would take months solo was completed in less than a week through effective AI collaboration.
Craig correctly identified that validation work (VNU, link checking, HTML validation) should be a separate phase rather than mixed with content creation. This separation allows for focused building followed by focused quality control.
/usr/local/bin/validate_landing_page_improved.sh/usr/local/bin/analyze_links.shCraig will handle validation work offline using his established scripts. The next collaborative session can focus on Week 2 content expansion - building out additional episodes, expanding learning resources, or reorganizing the /resources/ directory as originally planned.
Recommendation: Start Week 2 by reviewing what worked well in Week 1, then decide whether to prioritize Episode 1 content, advanced technical content, or reorganization work. The infrastructure is solid - now it's about growing the content library.
What this demonstrates: The efficiency multiplier isn't just theory. Craig built a substantial, professional educational website in less than a week - work that would have taken months solo. The collaboration model works, the Building in Public approach works, and the transparent documentation makes it all teachable.
Ready for Week 2: With solid infrastructure in place, Week 2 can focus on content expansion and refinement. The foundation is strong. Time to build upward.
