2-Do List — Day 44 (Reconstructed)
Rebuilt August 12, 2026 from the Day 43 starting list plus surviving August 8–11 project evidence.
This is a conservative reconstruction. Items are carried forward unless the surviving files provide good evidence that they were completed.
Session Open Protocol
- Drop relevant tar(s) / current tree snapshot
- Confirm
vnu clean and check_tree -a clean going in
- Review this 2DO and choose the next primary goal
Hot — Next Up
Sequence / EXPANDED Navigation
- Finish deciding the sequence-index design begun with
00-sequence-index.html and 01-sequence-index.html.
- Reconcile/choose among the evolving
sequence-index.html, 3-buttons_sequence-index.html, EXPANDED-index.html, and related landing-page changes. ACTIVE
- Validate navigation and symlink behavior after the index/sequence changes.
Uppercase commands Design Question
- Still unresolved from the surviving evidence: is
commands intentionally search-only through CGI-LinuxSearch.cgi, or should it have a landing/index page? carried from Day 41
check_tree.sh Small Fixes
- Add a
.tgtrun skip pattern so stale/generated files do not appear in tree reports. carried from Day 42; no completion evidence found
- Fix the mislabeled CMDS
BAT anchor pointing to #AT, unless already corrected during later navigation work. needs verification
Parking Lot — Standing Items
collaboration/lessons-learned.html — Days 11–42 were unrecorded at the Day 43 start. File timestamps show later touching, but the surviving evidence does not prove the missing reflections were written. Verify before closing. carried from Day 30
- Master “index of indexes” — original idea was one page linking all EXPANDED landing/index pages. The later sequence/index work may have superseded or absorbed this idea; decide after the sequence design settles.
Users-Groups/Cron-Scheduling — previously confirmed empty; safe rmdir candidate if still present.
AD directory — decide keep, archive, or remove.
- Continue breadcrumb rollout — remaining large scope had included
cmds/commands, CMDS, lowercase expanded/, and LP/. Re-audit current state after the August 9 target repair before doing more mass edits.
- Additional CLI tool candidates — tmux, curl with AI, ripgrep. Some corresponding pages exist; verify whether this standing item is now obsolete or was meant to cover additional treatment/integration.
Verify / Close From Day 43
- Confirm the August 9 internal-target repair left no erroneous
target="TARGnnnn" on internal links.
- Confirm external HTTP/HTTPS targets were preserved as intended.
- Remove repair-script
.bak files if they remain after validation.
- Confirm all new EXPANDED
index.html symlinks resolve to the intended canonical landing pages.
- Run
vnu on genuinely modified/new pages.
- Run
check_tree -a and investigate only genuine gaps.
Completed — Reconstructed Day 43
Broader over-targeting/internal-navigation sweep
Created Find-NAV.sh
Created check-breadcrumb-targets.pl
Created generalized fix-internal-targets.pl with dry-run and backup behavior
Large scripted internal-target repair pass across affected HTML files
Created dedicated AI Documentation material: start-here, runbooks, changelogs, best practices
Rolled conventional index.html symlinks through EXPANDED directories, pointing to each directory's canonical landing page
Added Network Stacks conventional index.html symlink
Standing Close Protocol
vnu all modified files
- Run
check_tree -a — confirm clean
- Remove temporary
~ and repair .bak files after verification
- Diary entry for the current day
- Carry the running 2DO forward
- Tars as appropriate
