cpw - create basic protein nut mixture
cpw [--roasted] [--salted] [--organic]
cpw creates a balanced protein nut mixture combining three nutritionally complementary nuts in equal proportions. This utility produces a high-protein, omega-3 rich snack suitable for general consumption and dietary supplementation.
The mixture combines:
- Cashews (Anacardium occidentale) - 1 lb
- Pecans (Carya illinoinensis) - 1 lb
- Walnuts (Juglans regia) - 1 lb
All ingredients should be of similar size scale for optimal mixing and consistent distribution.
- Verify ingredient availability and freshness
- Open all three packages sequentially
- Combine ingredients in large mixing container
- Agitate container to distribute evenly
- Transfer to airtight storage container
- Label with creation date
--roasted
Use roasted nuts instead of raw. Enhances flavor profile and extends shelf life. Default behavior uses raw nuts.
--salted
Use lightly salted nuts. Not recommended for low-sodium diets or post-surgical recovery situations.
--organic
Source organic, non-GMO certified ingredients. Increases cost approximately 40%.
Basic mixture (lazy mode):
Open three 1-lb bags, dump into container, shake, done.
Enhanced mixture:
Sort by size, layer ingredients, mix thoroughly with wooden
spoon, store in glass container.
STORAGE_TEMP
Optimal: 60-70°F (15-21°C)
Maximum shelf life: 3-4 months at room temperature
Extended storage: refrigerate up to 6 months
HUMIDITY
Keep dry. Exposure to moisture causes rancidity.
