Thank you Ben B.

I actually managed to get it to work with a bit of help. In my configuration file for wpa_supplicant, I added a network block that looked like the following:

# eduroam
network={
        ssid="eduroam"
        key_mgmt=WPA-EAP
        eap=PEAP
        identity="<BU usename>@binghamton.edu"
        password=hash:<MD4 hash of password>
}
You would need to edit the identity to be your own username, and you'll need to generate a hash of your password, unless you want to put it in as a plaintext string (please do not). To make the hash, I put my password into the following command:
$ echo <password> | tr -d '\n' | iconv -t utf16le | openssl md4

Where <password> is your password. You could just as easily substitute the echo command for the pass command if you have that password saved with pass, or any other method of piping your password to the trim command. My only concern is that I know MD4 isn't really considered secure in the same way a SHA hash is, but I'm not sure if the configuration accepts other hash types. I'll have to play around with that.
